MSG初代ボーカリスト、ゲイリー・バーデンを迎えての「IN THE MIDST OF BEAUTY」を引っさげての2008年ジャパン・ツアーより、8月28&29日、東京は中野サンプラザでの2公演を、バンド・モニター・ソースを使用したサウンドボード音源と、DATレコーディングによるデジタル・オーディエンス音源をミキシングした、マトリックス音源にていずれも完全ノー・カット収録！前回この中野サンプラザにおいてはマイケルの乱心騒ぎもあった因縁とも云える場所ながら、今回はマネージメントも変わり心機一転のパフォーマンスを披露。セットもツアーメンバーを意識してか久々に「Rock My Nights Away」や「Let Sleeping Dogs Lie」がセットに返り咲き、そして話題の同アルバムからも3曲プレイ。また観客の反応も素晴らしく、特に29日は日本公演の最終日ということもあり、終盤などは盛り上がりも最高潮！そして音質クオリティーにおいては、直結モニター・ミックス・ソースゆえ、ゲイリーのヴォーカル)やバンド・アンサンブルがバランス良く収録されており、特にマイケルのギターを大きめの音量でミックスしているところも嬉しい限り。このジャパンツアーは4公演全てセットリストは同じながら、本タイトルはメモリアルとしても永久保存盤と云える必聴マスト・アイテム。
